Kazu Nakagawa

Renowned for the serenity of his work, Tokyo-born artist Kazu has lived on Waiheke since the 80s. His carving of the Waiheke Library façade was a major commission from Auckland Council. Working in many materials, of organic nature and often referencing architectural objects, he explores notions of identity, landscape and the act of living.
